Phew, I'm so glad that out business has slowed down! We leave for Ohio on Wednesday and we will return on Sunday. N had his wisdom teeth pulled out on Monday, and he is doing very very well. Not a lot has really changed. Lillian had a doctor apt last Wednesday. We weighs 20lbs (75Th percentile), she is 27 1/2in long(25-50 percentile!). The doc was very pleased with her progress. We have discovered that she doesn't like stage 3 foods very well. If they have a lot of chunks she doesn't care for them. She will pick up things off her tray like puffs, but she will not put them in her mouth. The doc said not to worry. I know its not a big deal. She will do it when she is ready. She wont take them if you feed them to her either. She is funny like that, she wont put little things like that in her mouth, but she will put big things in her mouth, I guess that's a good thing.
Lil now has 3 teeth and one more about to pop through. She is cruising around things and I know it wont be to long and she will be walking. The Thursday before the 4Th I purchased a few toys from Craig's list. I got her a play table and a sit and learn, its a chair with a little desk attached to it with a few things on them. She loves them. She especially love to stand on the chair. She has started sleeping better again, but she is still not taking good naps. She napped in her crib today for only like 45 to 1hr. We put up black blinds in her room to hopefully help out with her naps, so we will see. I can believe my baby is going to be 10 months old!!!!!!! She is only 2 months shy of being a toddler ;(. Ive already started planning her party. I'm looking for thrifty ideas for the party. I think I'm going to make her invites and I am making her a cake. Its going to be a Lily cake. I'm not sure what else I will do. I read in a Parents' magazine in the doc's office last week thrifty ideas for decorations.
The learning table

The sit and learn and her new look, what ever!

The 4Th of July weekend went well. They had a parade as they do every year, so I took Lil up front to it. She seemed to enjoy it. My mom got Lil asleep while we were at the ball field waiting for the fireworks to start. We got there at like 8 or 8:30 and the fireworks didn't start until like 10. It rained but it stopped before the fireworks. Lil slept about and hour and a half and at the beginning of the fireworks she woke up. She seemed to like them. She didn't cry or anything. It was a good weekend with family. This past week (July 6-10) was our Summer
Sonshine (
VBS). I helped Tuesday through Thursday. Thursday I had to be there because it was Missions day and that is my day. I had the 6/7Th graders and we took them to the Red Cross to help them clean cots and do inventory on their vehicles. Part of the 5Th graders went over to Lissa's, she lives across from the Church, and they made a casserole for the Salvation Army and the other half went to an apartment for Lafayette
Transitional Housing and helped them out. I think they ended up like measuring and recording 200 blind sizes. It was a good week. I didn't help much I helped in the afternoon activities. Hopefully next year I will help a little more. I would like to teach lessons again.

I gave her this tootsie roll because she was getting bored and cranky...

this was the end result. I totally forgot she had it, I went to the office on my way back to the horseshoe pits to get a key card for the gate and looked down and she had eaten the paper end off and was eating the tootsie roll....oops that's what I get for not paying attention! She seemed to enjoy it though

This is Rusty, my mom's new puppy. He was 8 weeks old here.

grandma got her to sleep before the fireworks.

Yesterday Phil and Becky stopped by on their way home from Florida. They got here a day early. They ended up staying the night. It was nice spending time with them again. As always I love it!
mmmmm a teething cookie. These are very very gross but she enjoys them.

she loves her grandpa and he loves her!

School starts in a little over a month and I'm excited, very excited. I do have to work my butt off though and raise my GPA, last spring I kinda let it slip, but I wasn't feeling well, being
preggo and
didn't really have any motivation to do much of anything, bad I know. I know I can do it. I FINALLY got N to go to Ivy Tech and find out what was going on with his account. He had to reapply but since they still had our old apartment address, so we never got anything in the mail. He has changed his mind on what he wants to do AGAIN! He's going to do Civil Engineering now. He said he wanted to to that way back when he started going to Ivy Tech to begin with but there are only 3 that offer it and none of the ones he went to offered it. Lafayette campus still doesn't offer it,but hes going to take some gen ed classes, I recommended to him to take classes that gen ed classes that he needs and will transfer to Purdue, a lot of students do this, that way he will be in school less time. He's definitely going to take math at Ivy Tech to get back into the grove. There is a LOT of math in Civil Engineering. I loved the idea of him being a Lawyer, but I don't blame him for changing. He would be in school FOREVER!! This way he will get done a lot sooner
Speaking of school, my sister is going to graduate in may with her BA then get her MA right after that. She figured out that she can graduate with a BA in Political Science and then go right on into Grad school and get he MA in Education. She had to anyways before she can teach, its the law in NY. BUT she figured out that if she gets her BA in
Poli Sci and go into grad school and get her MA in
Edu she can graduate with her masters in the amount of time she would have gotten her BA!!! I'm so proud of her. She will beat me, still in getting her degree, the first one in our family, but I wont be far behind. I plan on taking summer classes if I can. I'm so proud of her. If you want to read her blog go
here.
