Cuiteness!!

Lillian has been moving her hands over her lips and for a little while but she never made any sound. Well the past few days I have noticed her adding sound and I FINALLY got it on video.

Enjoy, it is adorable!

Sorry about the jerkiness Sam was rubbing against me and the quick black line, that's her tail.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Phew, I'm so glad that out business has slowed down! We leave for Ohio on Wednesday and we will return on Sunday. N had his wisdom teeth pulled out on Monday, and he is doing very very well. Not a lot has really changed. Lillian had a doctor apt last Wednesday. We weighs 20lbs (75Th percentile), she is 27 1/2in long(25-50 percentile!). The doc was very pleased with her progress. We have discovered that she doesn't like stage 3 foods very well. If they have a lot of chunks she doesn't care for them. She will pick up things off her tray like puffs, but she will not put them in her mouth. The doc said not to worry. I know its not a big deal. She will do it when she is ready. She wont take them if you feed them to her either. She is funny like that, she wont put little things like that in her mouth, but she will put big things in her mouth, I guess that's a good thing.

Lil now has 3 teeth and one more about to pop through. She is cruising around things and I know it wont be to long and she will be walking. The Thursday before the 4Th I purchased a few toys from Craig's list. I got her a play table and a sit and learn, its a chair with a little desk attached to it with a few things on them. She loves them. She especially love to stand on the chair. She has started sleeping better again, but she is still not taking good naps. She napped in her crib today for only like 45 to 1hr. We put up black blinds in her room to hopefully help out with her naps, so we will see. I can believe my baby is going to be 10 months old!!!!!!! She is only 2 months shy of being a toddler ;(. Ive already started planning her party. I'm looking for thrifty ideas for the party. I think I'm going to make her invites and I am making her a cake. Its going to be a Lily cake. I'm not sure what else I will do. I read in a Parents' magazine in the doc's office last week thrifty ideas for decorations.

The learning table

The sit and learn and her new look, what ever!

The 4Th of July weekend went well. They had a parade as they do every year, so I took Lil up front to it. She seemed to enjoy it. My mom got Lil asleep while we were at the ball field waiting for the fireworks to start. We got there at like 8 or 8:30 and the fireworks didn't start until like 10. It rained but it stopped before the fireworks. Lil slept about and hour and a half and at the beginning of the fireworks she woke up. She seemed to like them. She didn't cry or anything. It was a good weekend with family. This past week (July 6-10) was our Summer Sonshine (VBS). I helped Tuesday through Thursday. Thursday I had to be there because it was Missions day and that is my day. I had the 6/7Th graders and we took them to the Red Cross to help them clean cots and do inventory on their vehicles. Part of the 5Th graders went over to Lissa's, she lives across from the Church, and they made a casserole for the Salvation Army and the other half went to an apartment for Lafayette Transitional Housing and helped them out. I think they ended up like measuring and recording 200 blind sizes. It was a good week. I didn't help much I helped in the afternoon activities. Hopefully next year I will help a little more. I would like to teach lessons again.

this was the end result. I totally forgot she had it, I went to the office on my way back to the horseshoe pits to get a key card for the gate and looked down and she had eaten the paper end off and was eating the tootsie roll....oops that's what I get for not paying attention! She seemed to enjoy it though

Yesterday Phil and Becky stopped by on their way home from Florida. They got here a day early. They ended up staying the night. It was nice spending time with them again. As always I love it!
mmmmm a teething cookie. These are very very gross but she enjoys them.

School starts in a little over a month and I'm excited, very excited. I do have to work my butt off though and raise my GPA, last spring I kinda let it slip, but I wasn't feeling well, being preggo and didn't really have any motivation to do much of anything, bad I know. I know I can do it. I FINALLY got N to go to Ivy Tech and find out what was going on with his account. He had to reapply but since they still had our old apartment address, so we never got anything in the mail. He has changed his mind on what he wants to do AGAIN! He's going to do Civil Engineering now. He said he wanted to to that way back when he started going to Ivy Tech to begin with but there are only 3 that offer it and none of the ones he went to offered it. Lafayette campus still doesn't offer it,but hes going to take some gen ed classes, I recommended to him to take classes that gen ed classes that he needs and will transfer to Purdue, a lot of students do this, that way he will be in school less time. He's definitely going to take math at Ivy Tech to get back into the grove. There is a LOT of math in Civil Engineering. I loved the idea of him being a Lawyer, but I don't blame him for changing. He would be in school FOREVER!! This way he will get done a lot sooner

Speaking of school, my sister is going to graduate in may with her BA then get her MA right after that. She figured out that she can graduate with a BA in Political Science and then go right on into Grad school and get he MA in Education. She had to anyways before she can teach, its the law in NY. BUT she figured out that if she gets her BA in Poli Sci and go into grad school and get her MA in Edu she can graduate with her masters in the amount of time she would have gotten her BA!!! I'm so proud of her. She will beat me, still in getting her degree, the first one in our family, but I wont be far behind. I plan on taking summer classes if I can. I'm so proud of her. If you want to read her blog go here.

June's chaos!

Phew, I am so glad that June is almost over. One more weekend, which we will be gone for, and the chaos ends. Lil and I have not been home much this month as we went to help my mom for a few weeks. She had a total knee replacement and she is doing very well. She had a little set back, she had to have a transfusion before she left the hospital, but she is now walking without her walker and with her cane. She got her 36 staples out last Friday. She is doing well. She is able to do most everything by herself now. She has to do exercises daily and use the bending machine 6 hours a day. I'm very proud of my mom for doing so very well and working hard to do things on her own.

Lil and I went to my dad's last Monday and we went on a boat ride. Lil absolutely loved it!!! It was her first boat ride. She loves being outside and loves the wind blowing in her face. I cant wait to take her on the boat again.

Father's day weekend we had a cookout and had all the in laws over and a cousin and her husband, who happens to be our insurance agent, and Melody, who planned the whole thing. We were outside all day. It was fun. Lil got a little inflatable pool from Phil and Becky and we got a 9'x9' canopy from them too. Thanks! Lil loved the pool once we let it sit in the sun to warm up. It was nice to have people over and to be outside and hanging with family.

Awsome finds!!!

I have been looking forever for a convertible car seat. I know its not always good to get used, but as long as they have never been in an accident and its within its 7 year life, then I don't see a problem with it. Well I posted it on free cycle that I was in search of a convertible car seat. One lady said she had one and she sent me the link of what it supposedly looked like, but it wasn't what she said it was. It's a high back booster, it kind of ticked me off, and I didn't realize it until I got home. So I emailed another lady that had contacted me and hers was a convertible car seat and we met at Meijer today, we were both shopping there, and I got it. I really like it. So I got a nice car seat for FREE!!!! Then I went to a garage sale today. Some mom's in my GLAM's group did one together and I stopped and found some good toys for Lil and a baby gate and spent 16.00 total on everything!!! I was pleased.

Here are my great deals, more pics of Lil to come later.

Here are my awesome finds! My FREE car seat, on the right a little farm, 2 baby Einstein blocks, cars (she loves cars) a ball thing that needs batteries and on the car seat is an electronic leap frog thing, it also needs batteries. I was very happy on my finds!

walking soon?!?!

Lots of changes and chaos here the past few weeks. I went to my mom's last Tuesday evening and returned home Thursday evening. I am returning to my mom's Sunday evening through Thursday evening. My mom had a total knee replacement on Monday and is now home. She went home on Thursday evening but she had to have a blood transfusion before she should go. The doc said that she lost more blood than they thought she would and her hemoglobin was 8.4 on Thursday, which for women its supposed to be 11.5. She was very light headed and dizzy and that was the reason. I called my mom this morning and she went to the doc yesterday because she is not able to get her swelling down in her leg. She has to keep it elevated above her heart and she CANNOT do anything!! She starts therapy on Monday and that is why I have to go back up. She cant drive so I have to take her. After this week she will be able to drive herself.

On another note. Lil has changed so so much!!!! Her teeth have come in more, she is crawling EVERYWHERE and she is pulling herself up on things. Even more so today than she has been. If you hold her hands she will take steps. She was just pulling herself up on things that were her height or shorter, but now she is pulling herself up on things taller than she is. She has pulled herself up on the coffee table and the love seat. She has also been pulling herself up on the play yard thing I have that is blocking off the living room and dining room. I think she will be walking before we know it! Oh and she can climb the steps now too. Not that I have let her, but she is climbing the diaper boxes and she climbed the first step today, and at my mom's she climbed the one step from the dining room to the kitchen the other day. I do have the play yard blocking off the stairs until we get a gate. Oh and she loves to make the O face, its so darn cute!

So many changes. My baby girl is growing up! I put Lil's 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes away in a tote today, they were in boxes. I wanted to cry, my babyisn't a baby anymore! Lately I have been having pregnancy fever. I LOVED being pregnant besides the end, but its always rough at the end. I also want another baby too! We were talking about startingagain around Lil's first birthday but I kind of want to start sooner than that, like with in the next month. We will see. I don't know why but I just want to be pregnant again.

OK enjoy some new pics!

Baptism

Yesterday I got baptized. It was an awesome experience. Since I was baptized as a baby, I grew up Methodist, this was just basically reaffirming my faith and N and I placed our membership at the church! Dad and Sharon came down as well and Phil and Becky. It was nice having them there. Thanks guys for coming to my special day!

Lil is everywhere! Not that she wasn't before, but she is much faster now and its nice that she is crawling, well sort of nice. Her second tooth has finally popped through. She loves doing patty cake and she is waving a lot now too, the right way. She has a lot of new facial expressions now, they are so funny. She loves talking and yelling. She has quite the personality! Not much else has changed. I go tomorrow to register for classes, and I'm excited. As much as I wished I was done, I'm excited to go back. Maybe its because I will get out of the house and baby free for a bit. I LOVE being home with Lil but I need a break sometimes, but I know I will always think about her, but that's a typical mom, I'm sure.

OK here are some pic of my baptism and a few pics of Lil with g and g bacon. Sorry the baptism pics are crappy, N took them and the flash was off, and they tend to not turn out as well

this is my favorite pic and if you look close enough you can see a tooth!

busy busy busy.......

Phew! I am glad this week is over. As most of you know my step uncle passed away last week from pancreatic cancer. Well we all got back from the holiday weekend Monday evening. We spent all day Tuesday together and Lil and I left on Wednesday around 1. The viewing was Wednesday from 4-8 and the funeral was Thursday at 1pm. Well as I was leaving the after funeral dinner and heading to my step dad's parents house for a bit to feed Lil and visit a tad more, my car did something weird and I heard something dragging behind me. So I pulled into Coalbush Church , the church N and I got married in, and got out and discovered that the muffler on the car was dragging the ground....great! So I called my dad and my mom, and my mom and Rick turned around and Rick detached the muffler for me. I went to his mom and dad's anyways and fed Lil and then headed to my dad's so he could look at it. Well there was no salvaging the muffler and exhaust. My dad called around but couldn't find one in stock, so first thing this morning he took it and got a new one put on. Oh boy, is the car ever so quiet now! It had an altered muffler on it and it was a loud one, and I HATED it, our car was so noisy, well now its so quiet and I'm excited!! It was the best quiet ride home that I have had in 3 years!!!

Lil did good while we were home. She started doing patty cake and is now officially CRAWLING!!!!!! She started doing that while we went home and N was a little disappointed that he missed it. I felt bad. She is doing pretty good with crawling. She isn't the fastest yet, but she will be there before we know it. The patty cake is so cute. I have both on video. I have felt so lost this week with not being home. We are leaving next Saturday to go up north again for my girlfriend's bridal shower on Sunday . Then I have to come back up to help my mom after her surgery. She is having a total knee replacement and she cant drive for 2 weeks. Ill get home Thursday evening, June 18Th and then we are having a cookout on the 20Th and then the following weekend I will be back up North for Ashley's wedding. June is such a busy busy month, I don't know if Ill get a chance go breath!

I go Tuesday to register for my classes, and N has to go to admissions because his account is messed up and now we have to go in there and straighten it all out.I'm really excited about going back to school, even though I wished so very much I was done with it! I know this is for the better and if I get it done now then I will be done forever, well sort of. Education they require you to get your masters withing 5 years of getting your license. Its like renewing it. But I can do that all online when the time comes.

OK enjoy a few new pics and a few videos!
