SLACKER!!!

I have been such a slacker lately on posting. I don't know what kind of funk I'm in, but its not like me to wait for ages to post. So much has changed so it might be a long post.

Lil has changed so much since my last post, its incredible. I have LOT of pics to show. Lillian has been just jabbering away lately. She has been spinning in circles and is now running! She LOVES to be chased and she likes to have me chase her on the couch, why the couch I don't know. She pushes her luck most days, but that is a typical one year old.

She has been saying a lot more words. She says, out, bye bye, kitty cat, night night, uh oh, all done, mama, dada. I know she says other words, but I cant think of them. She is getting so fun, but very challenging. She likes to scream at me, when she's mad or tired. She likes to put her hands of her face and walk around. Such a silly girl! She loves to dance and she likes to watch Little Einsteins and Backyardigans, well sort of. I always have the theme songs stuck in my head, though! She has been cuddling a little bit more lately too! OH and she has 2 molars in. That make 9 teeth total!

Not much has changed with N and I. N is now working an hour over everyday and they have been working every other Saturday since October. That continues through December, as we know of right now. School is going good. Next semester is going to be busy!!

OK here are some pics. There are a lot! I have some from Lil's party that I got from Phil and Becky. Enjoy!

Pictures from Phil and Becky's recent visit!

Changing again!

N and I have been talking, even before we had Lillian, that we would either home school or put our kids in private school. Well since private schools are so expensive I think we are about 95% sure we are going to home school our kids. I put that as a post on my facebook page and got quite a response, it was all good too. I know we have like 4 years (well 5 if she was going to public school) but its important that we think about this now. She definitely is not to young to start learning some things, and tomorrow I am going to start working with her a little more on some stuff like coloring, repetition of words, etc. I am actually excited about all this.

Sooo....with that said, I am changing my major to Early Childhood education, simply because I will not be working when I am done, but I want to feel that I have a degree incase something would ever happen to Nathanial. That way it will make it easier to teach our kids ,but not have to add more years. I could actually start in the program next semester. I wont have to transfer anywhere and go even longer to finish. I can still have the education background but with an associates.

I wanted to get a pic tonight of Lil holding her recorder to N's mouth for him to play it, but when I got the camera and got ready to take the pic she wanted down...of course.

There's always next time.

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to a Pumpkin Patch. It wasn't a very big one, Some people in Lafayette have one at their house. We got 6 pumpkins for $14.00, which I thought was fabulous! We got 2 white pumpkins and 4 big ones. It was kind of muddy but we let Lil walk around a bit, the best she could anyways. She rode in the wagon until we filled it with pumpkins. She also played with their little boy too. It was fun, and YES I got some pictures.

Other thank Lillian getting a little bigger not much has changed. Her new word is "out" Krissy taught her that, its so cute. She had her Dr apt on Sept 23, went well. She is 20.14 lbs (only gained 14 oz in 3 months). She is 29 inches so for her height and weight she is in the 50Th percentile and her Dr was pleased. We go Wednesday for her second round of the flu shot but we are declining the H1N1 vac, because it is dangerous and we don't want her to get it.

We have been busy here with school and youth group stuff. Lil is cutting her 1 yr molars and it is NOT fun. She has been super clingy and crabby this week. I didn't go to youth group on Wednesday because she was super crabby for Krissy and Grammy's for a bit.

I need to finish making Lil's costume. I making a lady bug I need to finish it this week. A mom in my playgroup is hosting next week because her son will be 1 and she wanted to do a Halloween party for playgroup, it should be fun.

OK here are the pics from today. I have more on my phone but I need to get an SD card for it. It wouldn't work when I tried to send them to blogger.

Inspiration

I have had this song stuck in my head for the past few day, and wanted to share it with everyone. I LOVE this song. I crank the radio up when I hear this song come on. So I thought I would post a video of the song and the Lyrics below it.

This song is City on our Knees, by Toby Mac.

Hope you enjoy it!

If you gotta start somewhere
Why not here?
If you gotta start sometime
Why not now?
If we gotta start somewhere I say here
If we gotta start sometime I say now

Through the fog
There is hope in the distance
From cathedrals to third world missions
Love will fall to the earth like a crashing wave

First Chorus:
Tonight's the night
For the sinners and the saints
Two worlds collide in a beautiful display
It's all up tonight
When we step across the line
We can sail across the sea
To a city with one king
A city on our knees

If you gotta start somewhere
Why not here?
If you gotta start sometime
Why not now?
If we gotta start somewhere
I say here
If we gotta start sometime
I say now

Chorus

Tonight could last forever
We are one choice from together
Family, we're family
You and me, yeah you and me

Second Chorus:
Tonight's the night
For the sinners and the saints
Two worlds collide in a glorious display
It's all up tonight
When we step across the line
We can sail across the sea
To a city with one king
A city on our knees

If we gotta start somewhere
Why not here?
If we gotta start sometime
Why not now?

Birthday party hoopla!

BEWARE: PICTURE OVERLOAD!

OK I know some of you have been waiting to see pics of Lil's party. I was hoping to have more, but my mom is having trouble sending the ones she took in a zip file. So I have to wait, unless she can get it to work. So Ill just have to wait to post them. Ill see if she can send me the best video of Lil eating her cupcake and send it to me.

OK onto the weekend. It was a busy one at that, but Very hectic but fun. Dad and Sharon came down on Saturday afternoon and helped me finish cleaning, they were awesome!!! Gave me more motivation to do it. Nathanial had to work. They Sunday morning I was up bright and early at 7:30, I just couldn't sleep anymore. Dad got up not long after me. I finished decorating the cake. I ran out of icing the night before and N had to pic it up at the store on his way home. I was going to make homemade icing, but my dad suggested to do it this way because it would be quicker. It was, and by the time I got to the cake I was already exhausted and tired. I had to get a few things for the icing and I didn't go to walmart earlier so when we went at like 7pm I just bought store bought. I know shame on me, it was good anyways though!

This is what happens when you let grandma Bacon give Lil a bath ;)

Here's my awesome cake! I'm so proud of it! My uncle didn't even know that I made it!

On Saturday after the Purdue game, My Aunt and Uncle and Cousin stopped by to give Lil her birthday present, since they were in town. She got an outfit, and books and a Iguana to got with a book.

Sunday morning my mom, Rick, Kevin, Penny and the Girls and Anne's boyfriend Mike were here around 9. Then Dale and Lu Ann. Everything was pretty much ready to go. Mom put together the spinach salad, I made the dressing the night before. It was supposed to rain all day and I was worried that I would have 40 people in my house to eat. Well around 11:30 we decided since it didn't look like was going to rain to set everything up outside. Right after everyone pretty much got done eating was when it started to rain. It didn't rain a lot and as soon as we took all the tables and chairs down is when it stopped. Everyone was already inside by this point so we decided to just do the cake and presents inside.

I really wished I had the video of Lil eating the cake. My mom has that and she is having a hard time trying to send it to me. So I wont have the video. N took quite a few pics, but they are not taken very well. So sorry about the poor quality of the pics.

She loved the balloons.
I made this shirt too!

It was windy but it settled down just in time. Oh and I made that banner too!

We got a new couch last week at Big Lots. Man is it ever nice! Got rid of that stupid leather couch. Gave it to Krissy for the game room. They also took our coffee table and end tables. Grammy wanted some so I said they are yours. We got a matching ottoman for the couch, and it has storage inside, which I love! We found some paint that we like that we will be painting the living room soon. We wanted to wait until we got a new couch before we painted. It will be nice to have some color in this place.

Oh, I'm so excited!!!! I ordered cloth diapers on Friday for a really great price. I got 20 and she shipped them on Saturday and I got them today!!!! They came from NC too! I was shocked but excited all at the same time.

birthday happeings part 1

For Lillian's birthday Grammy make her a birthday dinner. Chicken (which she didn't really eat) peas and mashed potatoes. I was going going to get her a cake, but I was running behind, so we just used a piece of cake they had. She loved it and ate the entire piece!! I made her shirt and I have another one I'm going to finish making tomorrow for Sunday's party. She is in full bloom on walking. That is pretty much what she does, but she will be lazy and crawl. She walks out to the van with me, and I have let her walk into stores with me, today I did. All in all she had a great birthday!

Today was Kevin's birthday so I bought him a cake, even though Shanon bought him one too and we went over and celebrated. Lil has a piece of Kevin's cake that Shanon bought, it was a cookie cake, yummy!! She ate it all, it wasn't a big piece though.

Tomorrow my dad and Sharon are coming down and I will probably be in more of a Party, cleaning mode than I have been all week. Its supposed to rain on Sunday, and I really hope that it waits until evening to rain. Its going to be crowded if I have to put 40 People in my house! We could always do it in the garage, if we had too.

OK, enjoy some pics and hopefully a video.

Here is the shirt I made her.

Happy Birthday!!

mmmm...yummy cake!

Here is a slide show I made for Lillian's first year! Enjoy. Sorry its like 10 minutes long, but it's good! Make sure your volume is up, there audio to this!
